Responses to articles
the-opinions.com does not run an open comment section. We follow the older journal tradition of curated correspondence: readers email substantive responses to a published article, and the strongest are appended to that article a week or two after publication, with the responder's name and affiliation, with permission.
We particularly welcome:
- Counter-arguments grounded in the primary literature.
- Citations the article missed — especially recent work that updates or complicates the empirical claims.
- Domain perspective from your own research, regulatory practice, or fieldwork that confirms, challenges, or refines a specific argument in the piece.
Email [email protected] with the article number in the subject line. Please indicate whether we may publish the response with attribution; if you prefer anonymity or pseudonymity for legitimate professional reasons, say so and we will respect it.
Not every response will be published. The selection criterion is the same as the articles' own: evidence-based, specific, and additive to the public conversation.
